Pick and Pack Worker (Selector)
Payrate: $20.00 an hour
Location: Reno, NV
Start Time: 7:30 am- to 4pm
Contract Length: 6 months or longer based on workload
Summary
Kelly Services is seeking a temporary reliable and punctual Pick and Pack Worker (Selector) for a busy warehouse environment. The candidate will be responsible for accurately selecting products from warehouse racking, labeling and palletizing products, and preparing customer orders for shipment. This role requires operating equipment such as electric pallet jacks, reach trucks, and stock pickers to efficiently fulfill orders and maintain a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate electric pallet jack, reach truck, and stock picker to pick orders safely and efficiently
  • Select the correct products from warehouse racking using RF label technology
  • Label products using assigned RF unit and ensure proper placement of labels
  • Stack products on pallets following best practices (e.g., no heavy-on-light, labels facing out)
  • Stage pallets in appropriate dock locations for loading
  • Stretch-wrap pallets on the loading dock
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace; may assist with cleaning duties and "lumping" trucks
  • Meet or exceed established accuracy and efficiency standards
  • Develop a strong understanding of product, inventory, and warehouse procedures
  • Remain until all orders are completed, including possible overtime, holidays, and weekends

Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year warehouse experience preferred (willing to train the right candidate)
  • Experience with electric pallet jack, reach truck, and stock picker required
  • Physically fit and able to work at a consistent, productive pace throughout the shift
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Basic math and counting skills
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends
