Job Summary

Perform preliminary reserving and/or pricing analysis. Gathers data, data clean-up and basic analysis for insurance products.

Essential Functions / Principal Responsibilities

• Develops and analyzes facts in order to assist others in developing rates, performing competitive analysis and setting loss reserves.
• Compiles data, performs statistical analysis and summarizes results.
• Verifies rate tables are accurate for implementation for policy administration system.
• Develops good working knowledge of the insurance business.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area

• Completion of one to two actuarial exams (preferred)

• Basic computer software programming skills
• Effective problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Possesses pattern-recognition skill and logic-based thinking

• Must have authorization to work indefinitely in the US.

The national average hourly range for this position is $35.72-39.69. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on work location. The starting hourly pay range for this position across all the states we hire in is $31.78-$47.62. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 5% of eligible pay.
