Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite in a home care setting, allowing physical therapists to provide care in a convenient, comfortable environment tailored to the unique needs of each patient. Engaging with patients in their homes helps us create a more relatable and effective treatment atmosphere, supporting their recovery journey in a familiar space. The scheduled work hours for this position are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify and address clients’ physical therapy needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Manage a typical caseload of 2-3 patients per hour, ensuring that each client receives focused attention and care.
• Utilize a variety of treatment techniques and develop customized care plans that promote optimal movement and mobility.
• Implement cost-effective rehabilitation strategies aimed at reducing the reliance on medications and avoiding unnecessary surgical interventions.
• Design and promote fitness and wellness programs tailored to individual patient requirements, fostering a holistic approach to their health.
• Motivate patients through positive reinforcement and encouragement during therapy sessions to maximize their functional outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and integrated treatment plans.
• Monitor patient progress, evaluate treatment efficacy, and adjust care plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments.
• Document all patient care services accurately within the EMR system, adhering to compliance standards and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on providing high-quality orthopedic outpatient care to diverse patient populations, including athletes, post-operative clients, and individuals with chronic pain conditions. By enhancing mobility and functional capabilities, our therapists play a crucial role in improving patients' overall well-being, allowing them to engage fully in life and their hobbies.

Qualifications

• A Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• A valid Florida Physical Therapist License, with no disciplinary actions or board actions on your record.
• National Provider Identifier (NPI) number or the ability to acquire one before commencement of employment.
• Proficient manual therapy skills, with a clear understanding of therapeutic techniques and exercise prescription.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of assessment and treatment protocols.
• Familiarity with EMR software, ideally WebPT, to ensure efficient documentation and communication within the physical therapy team.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to provide integrated care.

Compensation and Benefits

Horizon Flex Therapy offers a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 – 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and skills.
