Pay: $27.61 - $41.41 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option
Summary:
  • Provides childbirth education to expectant parents.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Works with a team of educators to teach Childbirth education and other relevant curricula.
  • Assesses varying learning styles, needs, and theories of populations served and develops population-appropriate curricula.
  • Collaborates with Birth Center staff and providers to enhance the delivery of services.
  • Serves as a resource to staff and to class participants to further their learning through referrals to community resources.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:
  • Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator
  • Certified Childbirth Educator
  • Child Birth Educator
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Successful completion of Childbirth Education training.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provide. Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator (LCCE) or certification from the International Childbirth Education Association (ICEA) or certification of Childbirth Education from the International Doula.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
