Job description

In an environment of continuous quality improvement, the Student Practical Nurse is responsible for maintaining enrollment in the practical nursing program at Washington County Career Center. The Student Practical Nurse will need to submit all required paperwork to show that status as a student is in good standing. Exhibits the MHS Standards of Excellence and exercises strict confidentiality at all times.

Job Functions:

  1. Maintains practical nursing student status throughout the program.
  2. Submits all necessary documentation in a timely manner.
  3. Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.

Minimum Education/Experience Required:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Maintain good standing with the practical nurse program at Washington County Career Center.
  • Submit grades at the end of the quarter/semester required.
  • Provide proof of enrollment for next quarter/semester required to demonstrate continual progress.

Special Knowledge, Skills, Training:

  • Verbal, clerical, numerical, and manual dexterity, color vision and near visual acuity, proper lifting techniques and body mechanic.

Compensation Details: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
