Job Summary (List Format):
- Must be available for the entire orientation week
- Work schedule options: 4x12-hour shifts or 3x12-hour shifts
- Required to float to other Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) units as needed
- Must work every other weekend
- Must be willing to work collaboratively with a diverse team (RNs, LPNs, Techs, etc.)
- Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed or approved at this time
- Holiday time off: Only one holiday request permitted (either the day OR the eve/day after, not both)
- Must have an active Michigan RN license
- BLS certification (AHA) required (pending status accepted if willing to obtain)
- Minimum of 1 year Med/Surg experience required; 2 years preferred
- May be assigned to various Med/Surg units, including ortho/neurovascular, cardio/pulmonary, or surgical (GI, urology, hysterectomies, mastectomies)
- Typical night staffing ratio: 1 RN to 5-6 patients (may flex to 8 with LPN support)
- Floating to other units typically occurs about once per week based on unit need
- Will care for a diverse patient population with a mix of medical and surgical cases
- Must be available for the entire orientation week
