Job description

At Warner Music Group, we’re a global collective of music makers and music lovers, tech innovators and inspired entrepreneurs, game-changing creatives and passionate team members. Here, we turn dreams into stardom and audiences into fans. We are guided by three core values that underpin everything we do across all our diverse businesses: Curiosity: We do our best work when we’re immersing ourselves in culture and breaking through barriers. Curiosity is the driving force behind creativity and ingenuity. It fuels innovation, and innovation is the key to our future. Collaboration: Making music and bringing it to the world is all about the power of originality amplified by teamwork. A great idea, like a great song, travels globally. We ignite passions and build connections across our diverse community of artists, songwriters, partners, and fans. Commitment: We pursue excellence for our team and our talent. Everything in music starts with a leap into the unknown, and we’re committed to keeping the faith, acting with integrity, and delivering on our promises. WMG is home to a wide range of artists, musicians, and songwriters that fuel our success. That is why we are committed to creating a work environment that actively values, appreciates, and respects everyone. We encourage applications from people with a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences. Consider a career at WMG and get the best of both worlds – an innovative global music company that retains the creative spirit of a nimble independent.

A little bit about our team:

The creative (design & content) part of the Corporate Communications and Marketing team supports the branding and execution of external communications, digital media, internal events, and global initiatives. This role mainly supports our music publishing division, Warner Chappell Music (WCM), but also helps out with WMG corporate and Warner Recorded Music.

Your role:

As our Digital Content & Social Media Strategist, you’ll be the creative engine driving the digital presence of the Warner Chappell Music brand. You will blend hands‑on creation with strategy, capturing live video at events and editing reels or visual assets one day, while analyzing metrics and optimizing campaigns the next. Collaborating with our global teams, you’ll shape our brand voice across all digital channels while keeping your finger on the pulse of culture.

  • Drive Strategy & Creative Execution: Partner closely with creative services, A&R, catalog, sync, and cross‑functional teams to fulfill day‑to‑day social media strategy and build needs across channels like TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Facebook, and YouTube.

  • Balance B2B and Fan Engagement: Build and coordinate current‑style vertical videos for platforms such as TikTok and Instagram alongside B2B visual assets for LinkedIn Executive Thought Leadership and internal branding materials.
  • On‑the‑Ground Content Capture: Serve as the live creative eye at local events, songwriting camps, showcases, and achievements to capture raw, authentic, high‑quality photo and vertical video content.
  • Manage Community & Digital Reputation: Oversee and manage our global community management framework and safely navigate real‑time social crisis mitigation to protect the brand and our songwriters.
  • Execute Data‑Driven Reporting: Maintain a robust analytics framework. You will pull platform metrics, run competitive benchmarking, and deliver performance reports against our global benchmarks to convert numbers into practical creative strategies.
  • Support Executives, Creators & Partners: Directly partner with senior leadership, A&R teams, and our creators to visualize strategic goals. You will build custom presentation decks and visual materials from scratch, maintaining a highly polished, professional, and composed presence when collaborating with C‑level executives and high‑profile creatives.
  • Branding/writing: Help develop brand voice. You will draft compelling and detailed copy across all touchpoints, including SEO‑optimized blog posts for WCM’s website, roster signing announcements, and highly nuanced social captions.
  • Optimize Workflows with AI: Use modern AI solutions such as Google Gemini to speed up your copywriting workflow, brainstorm rapid messaging variations, and multiply daily asset volume without sacrificing brand voice.
About you:

  • Is skilled in mobile video production, understanding how to capture clean audio and stable framing during live music events.
  • Is exceptional at writing, editing, and proofing copy to suit the distinct nuances of different channels.
  • Is adept at using the full Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva, and CapCut.
  • Can develop long‑form and complex PowerPoint and Keynote presentations from scratch, including infographics, charts, and iconography.
  • Is data‑driven, comfortable capturing and analyzing social metrics, tracking insights, and translating numbers into actionable creative strategies.
  • Is proficient in guidelines across print, web, SEO, and native platform analytics (including platforms such as Google Analytics, Sprout Social, or Later.com).
  • Looks at AI as a creative collaborator and understands how to prompt tools like Google Gemini to accelerate workflows.
  • Can work well in a team as well as individually.
  • Can thrive as an individual contributor and can roll up their sleeves, as well as manage or direct external teams.
  • Can manage their time with strict adherence to deadlines and manage several projects at any given time, shifting from video production to deck design seamlessly.
  • Can present work with confidence and clarity in front of C‑Level executives, senior management, and creative partners.
  • Can think creatively, critique meaningfully, and take direction.
  • Can gracefully manage a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
We’d love it if you also had:
  • Has completed an undergraduate degree (B.F.A., B.A., or B.S.) in Communications, Design, Creative Media, Marketing, or equivalent.
  • Has 2‑4 years of professional experience in digital content creation, graphic design, or social media management (please note: This is a mid‑level execution role, candidates looking for Director‑level responsibilities, people management, or strategy‑only roles will not be a fit).
