 WHAT'S NEW WITH APTAR

We have an exciting position open in Eatontown, NJ Injection Molding Technician II, reporting to the Production Supervisor. This position will ensure injection molding machines run to quality standards and meet all production goals. Ensure all safety and housekeeping procedures are followed. Report all quality and scrap issues to appropriate supervisor/Manager as soon as possible.

 

 THIS IS HOW YOUR JOURNEY BEGINS

  • You will ensure injection-molding machines run to quality standards and meet all production goals.
  • You will ensure all safety and housekeeping procedures are followed. Report all quality and scrap issues to appropriate supervisor/Manager as soon as possible.
  • You will ensure efficient operation of injection molding machines including, but not limited to, checking in process and finished parts for errors and promptly correcting part defects or problems upon identification.
  • You will perform material handling functions including, but not limited to, dispensing resins from hoppers, accurately weighing and identifying material, organizing resins in staging areas, moving completed parts into staging areas.
  • You will be able to perform color changes and line clearance/purging with minimal supervision.
  • You will be able to safely mount and dismount molds.
  • You will be able to assemble and connect water hoses.
  • You will be able to perform color changes and line clearance/purging with minimal supervision.

  • You will be able to act as a Lead when needed.
  • You will be able to start up molds, ensure proper line clearance and manage QA approval on a timely manner.
  • You will manage all MES transactions (downtime coding, material consumption, declarations, and scrap reporting)
  • You will be able to perform basic first article quality inspections.
  • You will perform other related duties as assigned.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING ON THE JOURNEY

Education

  • High School Diploma.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of injection molding experience as a Process Technician.
  • Advanced knowledge of plastic injection mold set-up/processes and equipment including, molding machines, robot pickers (programing), grinders, spru pickers, color blenders and loaders.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills on injection molding machines and support equipment.
  • Set up and start up ability on injection mold machines.
  • Certified in mold tech development program a plus.
  • Basic computer skills in Word and Excel.
  • Basic knowledge of SAP
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in Arburg and Krauss Maffei.
  • Basic reading, math, and comprehension skills.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English in order to communicate and understand relevant information
