Job Summary/Overview

This role will act as a lead in the ETO Electrical Assembly department supporting accuracy, quality, prioritization of work, and 5S standards as required. The Electrical Assembly Team Lead will work closely with teammates, engineers, and leadership to ensure timely delivery and continuous improvement across electrical builds and also completes electrical work within the facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical assembly tasks, including panel wiring and component installation while acting as the lead of the department and adhering to electrical standards and codes.
  • Maintain rotation of tasks within the department and participate in daily Gemba board discussions.
  • Collaborate with the Supervisor, Production Manager, other team leaders and individual cells to meet on-time delivery goals.
  • Act as the primary trainer for all electrical assembly employees within the ETO Electrical Assembly department.
  • Identify areas for improvement and training needs for individuals within the department.
  • Troubleshoots to identify and resolve electrical issues.
  • Keeps team on track to meet daily and weekly 5S standards.
  • Expedite orders and flex to support other departments when needed.
  • Works in a safe manner to keep you and your team incident-free.
  • Partner with facilities team to perform in house wiring and electrical projects.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, and flex to mechanical departments as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities
  • Proficiency in using electrical tools and equipment, including power tools, testing equipment, and hand tools. 
  • Understanding and adhering to safety regulations and best practices. 
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, electrical prints, and mechanical blueprints.
  • Electrical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of high and low voltage wiring and gate logic.
  • Knowledge of proper Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) handling procedures.
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to think abstractly to solve undefined or ambiguous problems.
  • Flexibility to adjust priorities based on changing needs or job demands.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills
Required Qualifications
  • Journeyman Electrician card and 3+ years of experience or 10+ years of industrial electrician experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous lead experience preferred.
  • Experience with Epicor ERP system is a plus.
  • Experience with Solidworks and FactoryTalk is a plus.
  • Ability to lift/lower/push/pull up to 40 lbs. safely; Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in various environments.
