As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Developing personalized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, incorporating evidence-based practices tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Conducting thorough patient assessments to evaluate mobility, strength, and overall function, facilitating targeted intervention strategies.
• Providing therapeutic modalities such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and neuromuscular re-education to help patients recover their functionality.
• Educating patients and their families about their conditions, treatment processes, and the importance of active participation in their rehabilitation journey.
• Participating in regular Care Plan Meetings to discuss patient progress and collaborate with team members to adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Completing comprehensive documentation for each session that meets compliance standards and is integral to the continuity of care.

Thrive Medi Flex Ortho serves a variety of patients with orthopedic conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. Your role will focus on helping individuals reclaim their mobility and enhance their quality of life through targeted physical therapy interventions. You will be responsible for adapting treatment approaches to meet the complexities of each patient’s unique health situation, fostering a positive and empowering rehabilitation experience.

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• A valid Physical Therapy License in good standing for the state of Virginia.
• Current CPR certification to ensure safety in patient care.
• A valid driver’s license and automobile insurance to facilitate potential travel needs related to professional responsibilities.
• Demonstrable commitment to clinical excellence, adhering to the highest standards of quality and integrity.
• Strong collaborative skills, showcasing a positive attitude and effective communication abilities with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• A focus on lifelong learning and professional development in the field of physical therapy.

While previous experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred, it is not mandatory. However, candidates with experience in orthopedic therapy, inpatient and outpatient settings, or rehabilitation programs will be highly regarded.
