We are seeking a diligent and experienced Safety Coordinator to join our team.


As the Safety Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all our construction activities comply with safety regulations and standards. You will work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to implement and maintain safety protocols, procedures, and training programs. This role will include providing safety support for our operations in the Rio Grande Valley areas with occasional trips to the San Antonio and Houston Areas.


Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies, procedures, and programs to maintain a safe work environment.

Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Provide safety training to employees, subcontractors, and other personnel as required.

Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.

Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incidents.

Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to develop safety plans for each project.

Stay up-to-date with safety regulations, industry trends, and best practices.

Conduct safety audits and participate in regulatory inspections.

Coordinate with external safety consultants, regulatory agencies, and client representatives as needed.

Promote a safety culture by encouraging employees to report hazards and participate in safety initiatives.

Responsible for purchasing and distributing safety equipment for employees.

Support project teams and job sites primarily across theRio Grande Valley.


Skills and Qualifications

Bilingual English and Spanish preferred

3+ years proven experience as a Safety Coordinator or similar role in the construction industry.

In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.

Pro-active at all times when it comes to issues related to workplace safety.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam/Adobe, Procore and other relevant software applications. Computer literacy skills and comfort with various types of technology used in the industry

Ability to multi-task and Time Management

Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to teach others the established safety standards

Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Certification in OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred

Additional Requirements

Travel will be required.

Availability to work nights and weekends as needed.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Participation in ongoing internal training programs is required for professional development.

Must have Valid Drivers License

Must have reliable transportation
