TheRegistered Nurse in Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of pediatric cardiac ICU patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. The Registered Nurse in Pediatric Cardiac ICU is also responsible for professional accountability and development.

• Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in critical care
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
• Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient

The Staffing Resource Office (SRO) offers 13–26-week seasonal assignments with stipend option. MILEAGE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT-MUST LIVE IN COUNTY IN FL PRE-DETERMINED ELIGIBLE TO OFFER SEASONAL OR PERMANENT RESIDENCE OUTSIDE THE STATE OF FL. (Documents must be provided)

• Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS
• 2 year's RN Acute Care experience within Peds ICU or Peds Cardiac ICU
• Associates Degree in Nursing

Location: St Joseph's Main and Children's

Status: Pool, Exempt: No

Shift Hours: 6:45pm - 7:15am & 645am-715pm (rotating day/night shift to help fill the needs for whatever the unit staffing requires)
