Position Overview

Flex Sports and Rehab is actively seeking a dedicated Full-Time Physical Therapist to join our team at our rehabilitation facility located in Harlingen, Texas. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough physical evaluations to assess each patient's range of motion, strength, balance, gait patterns, and functional capabilities.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, focusing on specific recovery goals, customized exercise routines, and modalities like manual therapy and heat application.
  • Implement treatment plans through targeted exercises aimed at improving strength, flexibility, coordination, and pain management.
  • Guide patients in safe walking techniques, using assistive devices as necessary, and educate them on fall prevention strategies.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, bathing, and personal transfers, to promote their independence.
  • Provide instruction to patients and their caregivers about home exercise programs and effective techniques to enhance recovery.
  • Maintain comprehensive patient records, documenting progress notes, treatment plans, and functional assessments to track improvement and modify care as necessary.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will work primarily with older adults and individuals with various conditions including arthritis, osteoporosis, dementia, and Parkinson's disease. The focus on age-related ailments emphasizes a compassionate approach to therapy, as the goal is to improve patients’ functional abilities and overall quality of life.

Qualifications
  • Active Physical Therapy license in the state of Texas.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution, with preference for a Master’s or Doctorate degree.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
  • A compassionate nature, with a sincere desire to assist patients in their recovery journey.
  • Ability to create and implement customized treatment plans that address specific patient needs.
Preferred Experience
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist, ideally in an assisted living or rehabilitation facility setting.
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations, particularly the elderly, is strongly preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package ranging from $85,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience. The benefits package includes:
