Job description

Title: Lead Agricultural Equipment Mechanic
Location: Cumberland, WI 
Job Type: Direct Hire | Onsite

A food manufacturing operation is seeking a Lead Agricultural Equipment Mechanic to oversee daily shop operations, direct mechanics, and keep harvest equipment running efficiently during peak season.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and prioritize daily mechanic/shop activities.

  • Troubleshoot and repair agricultural, diesel, heavy, and harvest equipment.

  • Manage parts inventory, vendors, repair records, and fleet/service trucks.

  • Support harvest operations and travel with the harvest crew when needed.

  • Assist with repairs and provide hands-on mechanical support.

  • Conduct safety audits and enforce GMP/safety procedures.

Requirements:

  • 1–3 years of mechanical experience.

  • 1–3 years of lead/supervisory experience.

  • Agricultural, diesel, heavy equipment, fleet, or industrial maintenance background preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics, diesel systems, mechanical drives, conveyors, and pumps.

  • Welding/fabrication experience is a plus.

  • Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred.

  • Must own basic hand tools.

  • Must be comfortable with extended hours during harvest season.
