Job description

Fleet Operations Specialist

(Inventory Management / Asset Tracking, Equipment Coordination, Intermodal Logistics)

Primary Objectives of Position

Provide operational support for chassis inventory availability, reconciliation, and fulfillment across the FlexiVan network by maintaining accurate operational data, coordinating inventory updates, and assisting with inventory movement tracking across internal systems. Support Fleet Operations, Customer Service, and Sales teams by helping manage operational inquiries, coordinating updates, and assisting with Salesforce-related operational approvals. Contribute to day-to-day fleet operations by maintaining data accuracy, supporting inventory monitoring, and helping ensure efficient service delivery across internal teams, customers, and vendors.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Equipment Inventory

· Assist with reporting and reconciliation of chassis inventory reports from various depots across the FlexiVan Network.

· Support audits of internal systems to help ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory data.

· Assist Fleet Operations with inventory planning activities to help maintain sufficient equipment availability across the network.

· Help communicate inventory priorities and updates with internal teams and external stakeholders as needed.

· Support inventory management activities, including coordinating with offshore teams to ensure inventory uploads are completed accurately and on time.

· Assist with sale and scrap initiatives and help maintain accurate fleet records related to asset disposition.

Communications & Customer Support

· Maintain awareness of assigned market conditions and help communicate operational updates between Fleet Operations and Customer Support.

· Support the equipment fulfillment process by assisting with equipment release setup, decal coordination, delivery tracking, and operational updates to Customer Support.

· Help manage Customer Support inquiries by coordinating with Fleet Operations and providing status updates when needed.

Data Integrity & Operational Reporting / KPIs

· Support monitoring of data integrity related to chassis movement transactions (e.g., reviewing gate transactions, identifying exceptions, and coordinating corrections with the data integrity team).

· Assist with gathering operational data and preparing reports to support Fleet Operations decision-making.

· Help track term lease equipment on-hire/off-hire activity and provide visibility to Fleet Operations, Commercial, and Customer Support teams.

Other Duties

· Provide general operational support to Fleet Operations team as needed.

· Other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications

Education Requirements

· Bachelor of Arts or Science or equivalent work experience (4 years)

· Preferred Degrees: Business, Supply Chain Management, or Finance

Skills Required

· Microsoft Excel – ability to create worksheets, charts/graphs, data tables, and pivot tables

· Microsoft Office 365 Suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, SharePoint

Competencies
