Working under the direction of the Fleet Manager, the Fleet Mechanic provides general maintenance and repair of all hospital vehicles including passenger cars, trucks, ambulances, refrigeration trucks, utility vehicles, snow plows, salt spreaders, and other equipment. The Fleet Mechanic is required to understand all aspects of automotive and light truck systems including (but not limited to) fuel, brake, electrical, HVAC, suspension, gasoline/diesel engines, transmissions, drivetrain, and hydraulic systems. The Fleet Mechanic is also responsible for general shop maintenance, deep cleaning, deliveries, and other duties as needed.
This position requires maintaining a valid Ohio driver's license, being a minimum of 21 years old, and meeting all eligibility criteria for coverage under the hospital's insurance policy.
Education:
HSD/GED is required
** ASE Master Certification Preferred**
