Merchandiser (Men's Apparel Tops & Bottoms) - TNF, Americas

What will you do?

A day in the life of a Merchandiser for Men's Apparel Tops & Bottoms at The North Face looks a little like this.

As a Merchandiser for Men's Apparel, you will work within the AMER Apparel Merchandising team, focusing on our Men's Tops & Bottoms product categories. You'll collaborate closely with Global and Regional marketplace teams to deliver consumer-right assortments that reflect TNF's brand vision and cultural leadership. You need to be passionate about how consumers engage with products, trends, and the outdoor and lifestyle marketplaces. You are commercially driven, curious, and thrive in a team environment.

You will report directly to the Merchandising Manager, Men's Outerwear, Fleece and Specialty Activities

Own seasonal merchandising strategy and line architecture for Men's Tops & Bottoms, ensuring alignment with brand vision and financial goals.

Operate as the Regional product expert for all Men's Tops & Bottoms Apparel.

DrivesAmer Regional assortment plansfor assigned projects/category and reconciles line plan with channel merchandising plans at key milestones, to ensure alignment.

Rank franchises and optimize assortments based on historical and current product performance, identifying redundancies and opportunities for growth.

Conduct marketplace and competitor research to inform seasonal direction and identify new consumer-driven opportunities.

Maintain and update line plans throughout the season, ensuring accuracy and adherence to calendar milestones.

Input into seasonal planning by gathering and analyzing financials, forecasting, competitor insights, line plans, and regional insights.

Analyze historical data and current trends to identify businessrisks and opportunities, recommending strategies to achieve financial objectives.

Prepare and present materials for key meetings, including line reviews and milestone presentations, driving alignment across global and regional teams.

Demonstrate awareness of adjacent categories such as OW & Fleece Apparel, Equipment, Accessories, and Footwear to support holistic outfitting & brand vision.

Proactively drive ongoing communication with Regional Channel and Planning partners throughout the GTM process, ensuring a seamless flow of key information and alignment on assortment, financial targets, and distribution strategies.

What do you need to succeed?

A relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience (preferred).

3-5 years of experience in merchandising, product management, or related field; apparel experience strongly preferred.

Deep understanding of industry trends, consumer behavior, and cultural influences that drive product decisions.

Ability to interpret financial data, manage line plans, and maintain accuracy across multiple seasonal milestones.

Strong business acumen and understanding of financial metrics and profitability analysis.

Excellent collaboration skills, including a proven ability to communicate with various levels of management and employees within the organization with clarity.

Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and adhering to calendar processes.

Ability to foster a collaborative environment with Global and Regional Merchandising partners, as well as Planning, Channel, and Sales teams to achieve shared goals.

Proactive approach to identifying the root cause of issues, seeking the best solutions with a values-driven commitment to do what is right. Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with experience in PLM systems

Ability to work in an open environment with cross-functional partners.

Computer proficiency, including specific job-required applications.

$73,440.00 USD - $91,800.00 USD annually
