Responsibilities

As a Traffic Control Supervisor, you are responsible for supporting the Construction Manager and coordinating traffic control activities as assigned for this large, multi-year telecommunications construction project. You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. And you’re up for the challenge.  

In addition, you will: 

  • Place, remove, and repair temporary and permanent traffic control devices 
  • Coordinate traffic flaggers in construction areas 
  • Supervise traffic flaggers in the work zone 
  • Responsible for managing time and administrative functions for direct reports 
  • Comply with all organizational and regulatory safety standards and ensure all team members attend and execute pre-task safety planning requirements each day 
  • Create and interpret traffic control plans for various construction projects and implement compliant plans in the field
  • Inspect traffic control devices to ensure functionality, placement, and safety compliance
  • Manage direction of traffic using signs, paddles, hand gestures, radios, and/or verbal communication

  • Overtime pay will be provided in accordance with California labor laws, at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate for hours worked over 8 hours in a day or 40 hours in a workweek.
  • Rest and Meal Breaks: You will be compensated for paid rest periods and granted unpaid meal breaks in accordance with California labor laws.
  • "At-will employment": Your employment with MasTec is “at-will,” meaning either you or the company may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice.
  • Schedule: Full time positions; Hours varies based on project needs
