At The Retreat at Sunny Vista, maintenance is about much more than fixing things—it’s about caring for the people who call our community home.

We’re looking for a dependable, compassionate Maintenance Assistant to join our team and help keep our senior living community safe, comfortable, welcoming, and running smoothly. Every light you replace, every room you help prepare, and every repair you complete contributes to the quality of life of our residents.

In this role, you’ll work alongside our Building Operations Manager to care for the buildings, grounds, equipment, and shared spaces throughout our community. You’ll have the opportunity to learn, lend a helping hand, and build meaningful relationships with residents and coworkers along the way.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the community.
  • Turn resident rooms and apartments when move-outs occur, helping prepare spaces for the next resident to feel welcomed and at home.
  • Help keep resident apartments and common areas safe, clean, comfortable, and well maintained.
  • Support basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repair projects.
  • Assist with grounds and outdoor maintenance as needed.
  • Help prepare rooms and spaces for residents, activities, and community events.
  • Respond to maintenance requests with patience, professionalism, and a genuine desire to help.
  • Follow safety procedures and help maintain a secure environment for our residents.
  • Work collaboratively with the maintenance and community teams.
