Position Purpose
The Fixed Income Sales Associate supports senior sales professionals in originating, developing, and maintaining institutional client relationships across the fixed income product spectrum. This role is responsible for assisting in the distribution of bonds and structured products, providing market intelligence, and delivering actionable trade ideas tailored to client investment objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Client Coverage Support
  • Assist in managing relationships with institutional clients including banks, credit unions, asset managers, insurance companies, and hedge funds
  • Respond to client inquiries, provide market color, and facilitate trade execution
  • Prepare customized client materials, including portfolio analyses and relative value comparisons

Product Distribution
  • Support the sale of fixed income products, including:
  • Agency MBS (specified pools, TBAs)
  • CMBS (conduit, SASB)
  • ABS
  • Treasuries and corporate bonds
  • Structured products (e.g., CMO/REMIC tranches, GNPLs, DUS/Ks)
  • Monitor inventory and help position securities with appropriate investor bases

Trade Execution & Coordination
  • Coordinate with trading desks to price bonds, source liquidity, and execute transactions
  • Ensure accurate booking and confirmation of trades
  • Assist in managing bid lists and BWICs/CWICs

Market Research & Analytics
  • Track market trends across rates, spreads, prepayment speeds, and credit fundamentals
  • Develop and communicate trade ideas based on relative value analysis
  • Support creation of daily market commentary and client updates

Reporting & CRM Management
  • Maintain detailed records of client interactions and trade activity (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Track client preferences, investment mandates, and portfolio positioning
  • Assist in generating sales metrics and pipeline reporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
  • 1-4 years of experience in fixed income sales, trading, or capital markets
  • Strong knowledge of fixed income products and markets; familiarity with structured products preferred

Hiring Salary Range $100,000 - $125,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity and alignment with market data.) Subject to business performance and recommendations of management, this role may be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan. This compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
