The Fixed Income Trading team plays a critical role in delivering investment outcomes for clients across mutual funds, ETFs, separately managed accounts, and other investment strategies. Working in a highly collaborative environment, the team partners closely with portfolio managers, credit research analysts, risk professionals, operations teams, compliance partners, and technology specialists to navigate evolving market conditions, enhance trading capabilities, and support scalable investment processes.
As an Associate Fixed Income Trader, you will help execute fixed income transactions across a broad range of asset classes while leveraging market data, analytics, and trading technologies to support investment decisions and pursue best execution outcomes. You will contribute to portfolio implementation by evaluating liquidity, pricing, market conditions, and trade alternatives while helping strengthen trading workflows, reporting, and operational effectiveness. This role offers the opportunity to deepen your market expertise, build relationships across the investment ecosystem, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance trading efficiency, risk management, and client outcomes. Your work will directly support investment performance, operational excellence, and the firm's commitment to acting in clients' best interests.
What you have
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in fixed income trading, portfolio management, investment operations, trade support, capital markets, or a related investment function.
  • Working knowledge of fixed income products, market structure, trade lifecycle processes, execution venues, and trading workflows.
  • Experience using trading platforms, order management systems, market data tools, or investment analytics solutions such as Bloomberg, Aladdin, Tradeweb, MarketAxess, InvestorTools Perform, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills with the ability to interpret market information, evaluate alternatives, and support effective decision-making.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across investment, risk, compliance, operations, and technology teams.
  • Sound judgment, intellectual curiosity, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering positive client outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working at a buy-side asset manager, sell-side trading desk, broker-dealer, investment adviser, or institutional trading organization.
  • Exposure to municipal bonds, corporate bonds, securitized products, U.S. Treasuries, agency securities, futures, ETFs, or separately managed account investment strategies.
  • Experience applying analytics, automation, process improvement, data analysis, or technology solutions to improve business outcomes and operational efficiency.
  • Understanding of best execution principles, transaction cost analysis, trade allocation practices, fiduciary responsibilities, and applicable regulatory considerations.
  • CFA designation, progress toward CFA certification, MBA, or other relevant professional certification.
