As a Software Engineering Manager Senior within PNC's Capital Markets technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA; Charlotte, NC or Dallas, TX.
Capital Markets Broker Dealer experience as application manager or experience in investment operations or front desk is preferred.
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager with deep technical and functional expertise in the Capital Markets Fixed Income Broker Dealer domain to lead the design, development, and delivery of strategic technology solutions supporting fixed income sales, trading, operations, risk management, compliance, and regulatory reporting functions.
The successful candidate will lead engineering teams responsible for platforms supporting fixed income trading, trade capture, order management, inventory and position management, settlement processing, regulatory reporting, and operational risk controls. This leader will drive technology strategy, application modernization, platform stability, and regulatory compliance while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities preferred:
Lead and develop high-performing software engineering teams supporting Fixed Income technology platforms.
Drive delivery of strategic initiatives, technology roadmaps, platform modernization, automation, and DevSecOps practices.
Partner with traders, sales, operations, compliance, and risk stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions.
Oversee systems supporting the end-to-end fixed income broker dealer lifecycle, including trade capture, allocation, settlement, inventory management, securities financing, and regulatory reporting.
Ensure solutions meet broker dealer regulatory requirements, including FINRA, SEC, TRACE, MSRB, trade surveillance, and books-and-records obligations.
Lead architecture and integration efforts across internal platforms, market data providers, trading venues, and vendor solutions.
Strengthen operational resilience, risk controls, and audit readiness across the application portfolio.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in a people leadership role.
Deep knowledge of Broker Dealer Fixed Income business processes and technology platforms.
Experience supporting fixed income products including Corporate Bonds, Municipals, Treasuries, Agencies, and Repo markets.
Strong understanding of the fixed income trade lifecycle from order initiation through clearance and settlement.
Proven ability to partner with Front Office, Operations, Risk, and Compliance organizations.
