About the role
  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fixed Income ETF Portfolio Manager and trading leader responsible for the implementation, management, and oversight of various Exchange-Traded Fund portfolios. This individual will play a key leadership role within the organization, driving execution excellence, improving trading and operational processes, and helping shape the direction of the trading function as the business continues to scale.
  • The ideal candidate combines deep market expertise with strong leadership, project ownership, and relationship management capabilities. This role requires a demonstrated ability to make tactical decisions in fast-moving environments, solve complex operational and trading challenges, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and lead strategic initiatives across teams.
  • The ETF Portfolio Management team provides portfolio management and execution services for ETF issuers. The successful candidate will have experience across a broad range of fixed income securities including Treasuries, Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS), Municipal Bonds, High Yield, Sukuk Bonds, and other structured or specialized fixed income instruments. Experience with Bloomberg and other institutional trading platforms, along with a strong understanding of middle and back-office operations, is required.
What you'll do
  • Manage the trading of fixed income products and active cash investments across the firm.
  • Lead projects and strategic initiatives related to trading operations, portfolio implementation, and process improvement.
  • Own key deliverables and ensure timely, accurate execution across trading and operational workflows.
  • Influence and collaborate across teams including Portfolio Management, Operations, Compliance, Technology, Custody, Prime Brokerage, and Capital Markets partners.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with market makers, liquidity providers, brokers, custodians, and other external stakeholders.
  • Maintain accountability for fund performance, implementation quality, and adherence to investment objectives while striving to deliver competitive results.
  • Manage and mentor team members while fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Stay current on market trends, economic developments, ETF ecosystem dynamics, and trading strategies across asset classes.
  • Support and interact directly with clients, issuers, and external partners by providing trading expertise, portfolio insights, operational support, and high-quality service throughout the lifecycle of ETF products.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 7+ years of institutional trading and portfolio management experience with fixed income securities, ETFs, and/or multi-asset products.
  • Strong knowledge of fixed income markets and instruments including Treasuries, Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS), Municipal Bonds, High Yield, and other structured or specialized products.
  • Experience with Bloomberg and institutional trading, portfolio management, and order management platforms.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing projects, initiatives, workflows, and team members in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills with the ability to work effectively across internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with ETFs, '40 Act funds, or other regulated investment products.
  • Familiarity with portfolio implementation, post-trade operations, reconciliation, and fund workflows.
  • Experience working with market makers, authorized participants, custodians, and prime brokers.
  • Familiarity with trading-related regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with automation, data analysis, or programming languages such as Python, VBA, or SQL.
