The Work Itself

The Portfolio Manager supports the VP of Portfolio Management in executing investment strategies, managing balance sheet risk, and optimizing portfolio performance within established investment policy guidelines. This role is ideal for someone analytical, detail‑oriented, and eager to grow into a more senior investment role.

The Talent You Bring

The Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in fixed income securities trading and/or portfolio management
  • Strong understanding of fixed income instruments, bond math, and familiar with derivatives
  • Ability to interpret economic data. Understanding of monetary policy and its impact on rates and shape of the yield curve
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Proficiency with Bloomberg and Excel
  • High attention to detail

Additional skills and experience are a plus:

  • Master’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field
  • 5-8 years of fixed income portfolio management experience
  • Advanced understanding of Asset/Liability management principles
  • Exceptional ability to effectively assess and continuously monitor portfolio risk exposures.
  • Knowledge of sector/product-specific drivers
  • CFA designation
  • Experience with SQL, PowerAutomate, PowerBI or similar data and reporting tools
