Job Objective

The Tax-Exempt Fixed Income Portfolio Manager will be responsible for managing investment-grade bond portfolios for high-net-worth clients, with a focus on short to intermediate duration strategies. This individual will play a key role in delivering consistent, riskโ€‘adjusted returns while aligning portfolios with client objectives. This role requires strong credit analysis capabilities, sound judgment, and the ability to operate independently within a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage tax exempt investment-grade bond portfolios across short to intermediate durations
  • Perform fundamental credit analysis and ongoing monitoring of issuers and sectors
  • Construct and maintain portfolios aligned with client objectives, risk tolerance, and income needs
  • Evaluate relative value opportunities across the fixedโ€‘income universe
  • Monitor market conditions, interest rate trends, and economic developments
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support client portfolios and reporting
  • Participate in select client discussions as needed
Job Requirements
  • 10โ€‘15 years of relevant experience in tax exempt fixed income
  • 5โ€‘7 years of tax exempt, investmentโ€‘grade, portfolio management experience
  • Experience managing tax exempt, investmentโ€‘grade bond portfolios
  • Strong credit analysis skills
  • Experience working with highโ€‘netโ€‘worth client portfolios preferred
  • CFA designation or masterโ€™s degree preferred
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound investment judgment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

The expected base salary range for this position is $200,000 to $250,000, with a bonus based on individual and firm performance. Total compensation will vary based on experience, qualifications, and overall contribution.

The actual base compensation offered will be determined by various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant years of experience, career progression, qualifications, educational background, certifications or professional licenses, and roleโ€‘specific skills. Base salary represents one element of Silvercrestโ€™s comprehensive compensation package, which also includes robust benefits and may include incentiveโ€‘based compensation.
