Description:

  • Lead various workstreams associated with BMO's program to build, consolidate and improve fixed income trading platforms
  • Work very closely with the Agile development team to formulate requirements (Epics, User Stories) following the two-weeks sprint cycles
  • QA: test plans, execution and validation
  • Develop strong partnership with the key business stakeholders and key technology partners
  • Work with PM, Product Owner and others to build an overall plan and strategy
  • Track and communicate progress in daily scrums and weekly team meetings
  • Work with external vendors to align with BMO's goals and objectives

Requirements:

  • Proven ability to deliver value to fixed income traders with clear correlation to business benefits
  • Strong knowledge of all aspects of broker/dealer Fixed Income trading - pricing/Risk, RFQ/position/inventory management, clearing/settlements, regulatory
  • Strong and up-to-date knowledge of electronic bond trading - venues (CanDeal, Tradeweb, MarketAxxess, etc), offerings, connectivity, application integration, engagement model, regional aspects
  • In-depth knowledge of various flavours of bonds - Governments, SSAs, Corporates, Provincials/Municipals, IG vs HY, etc ...
  • Knowledge of IR derivatives a strong asset
  • Strong experience of Bloomberg-TOMS/E-TOMS
  • Relevant knowledge of at least one of the following: Broadway, Broadridge ICI Impact, FIS BondOne (DSTS), BondFire, FinPro/SFCM, Calypso
  • Essential knowledge of SQL. Java/Python/Linux or past experience developing software a strong asset
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Use of AI tools to drive productivity and accelerate time-to-market
  • Proven track establishing strong building strong alliances with key business stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of requirements/design methodology
  • Detail oriented, analytical and capable of investigating complex/technical issues

Salary:

$70,000.00 - $150,000.00
