Position Overview:
The Private Placement team is responsible for the overall management of the private placement portfolio. Involved in sourcing, evaluating and negotiating syndicated new issues, as well as secondary investments. Monitors existing portfolio of private placement credits, updates credit reviews and handles waivers, amendments and other issues as they develop. Research and compile information for presentation to clients. Engage agents active in broadly syndicated private placement transactions to maintain relationships and expand investment opportunities.Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for originating and monitoring domestic and foreign issuance of corporate and securitized private placements at various levels of the capital structure.

  • Underwrite new investments.

  • Provide relative value assessments of investment opportunities.

  • Portfolio monitoring.

  • Research and compile portfolio presentations at the request of clients.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with agent banks in the broadly syndicated market seeking investment opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field.

  • Seven plus (7+) years private placement experience or similar analytical role.

  • Developed analytical, structuring and negotiating skills.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Possesses creative and independent problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, CFA, capital market experience preferred.
