Job Overview

A CSR or Customer Service Rep is responsible for communicating with the customer, assisting the Repair Planners with the Repair Order File Management and all administrative fields. A positive impression is expected from the CSR’s as they are the first contact of the customers and insurance company personnels. Working as a CSR has many benefits including training and experience on overall administrative functions leading to other career growth opportunities.

Customer Service Rep Responsibilities
  • Greeting Customers
  • Answering and managing incoming phone calls
  • Populating the calendar with appointments for estimates or drop-offs
  • Calling on assignments sent by insurance company and capturing estimates
  • Creating repair orders for customer/vehicle drop off
  • Obtaining proper authorizations and signatures from drop-off to delivery
  • Scanning all authorizations and signed documents
  • Collecting and recording monies due from customer at delivery
  • Assisting office manager on accounts receivable and payables as needed
  • Setting up tows if requested by insurance company
  • Costing rental and tow bills into management system
  • Coordinating with the repair planner to update and document the communication of repair status
  • Preparing daily deposits for bank pick-up, making sure payments are accurate
  • Filing daily invoices and delivered files
  • Updating job skills as agreed with management
  • Performing all other duties assigned by management
Qualifications

Must have familiarity with Microsoft Office programs and the ability to quickly learn estimating systems, management systems and various computer programs.

Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

High school degree or equivalent

18 years or older
