CAD Engineer - Materials Processing - Base Salary to 110k/year - Naples, FL

  • Our client, a leading materials processing facility, is seeking a CAD Engineer to support the design and development of large-scale industrial material processing facilities. This role is responsible for creating detailed engineering drawings, plant layouts, and fabrication packages that translate engineering concepts into buildable designs for industrial processing plants throughout the United States.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed 2D and 3D plant layouts for large-scale industrial processing facilities
  • Create technical drawings, fabrication drawings, construction drawings, and fabrication packages that convert engineering concepts into buildable designs
  • Design facility layouts incorporating conveyors, screeners, grinders, mills, and other bulk material handling and processing equipment while ensuring proper fit and functionality
  • Develop engineering drawings for new processing plant facilities while collaborating with internal engineering teams
  • Interpret engineering concepts and assist in producing accurate CAD models and technical documentation
  • Maintain and update engineering drawings throughout the project lifecycle
  • Manage CAD documentation and drawing revisions within the engineering database
  • Coordinate with internal engineering teams to ensure drawings are complete and accurate prior to fabrication
  • Support multiple engineering and facility design projects simultaneously while meeting project deadlines

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
  • 2+ years of professional CAD experience
  • Robust background designing large-scale industrial systems, process plants, material handling systems, or processing facilities
  • Ability to interpret engineering specifications and translate them into detailed technical drawings
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks
  • Experience creating 2D and 3D CAD models, fabrication drawings, construction drawings, and plant layouts
  • Experience designing industrial equipment, bulk material handling systems, conveyors, or processing equipment
