Information Security Administrator
Location: Columbia, SC
Job Summary
As an Information Security Administrator, you'll be on the front lines of protecting our systems, data, and people. This hands-on role is all about identifying risks, implementing solutions, and strengthening our overall security posture. You'll partner across IT, engineering, legal, and business teams to keep our operations secure-while also helping guide safe and responsible use of emerging technologies like AI.
What will you do?
  • Identify, remediate, and validate security vulnerabilities across systems, cloud platforms, and applications
  • Manage and optimize security tools such as EDR, SIEM, vulnerability management, MFA, and DLP
  • Monitor alerts and logs, investigate suspicious activity, and support incident response efforts
  • Implement security controls, system hardening, and least-privilege access practices
  • Conduct risk assessments and partner with teams to execute remediation plan
  • Support Identity & Access Management processes, including user access reviews
  • Ensure timely patching and vulnerability remediation
  • Collaborate with AI and data teams to support secure development and usage of AI solutions
  • Evaluate AI tools for privacy and data risks and implement appropriate safeguards
  • Assist in developing and enforcing security policies, standards, and procedures
  • Support audits, compliance activities, and third-party risk assessments
  • Promote security awareness and best practices across the organization

What makes you a great catch?
  • 7+ years of experience in Information Security, IT Security, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience implementing security controls and endpoint security tools
  • Strong knowledge of Identity & Access Management and cloud security (M365, Azure, AWS)
  • Experience with vulnerability management, patching, and remediation processes
  • Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel) and log analysis
  • Solid understanding of networking and system administration fundamentals
  • Experience responding to and managing security incidents
  • Ability to translate technical risks into practical, business-focused solutions
  • Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash) is a plus
  • Security certifications (Security+, SSCP, CySA+, etc.) are a bonus
  • Experience with AI security, data privacy, or vendor risk is highly valued
