Job Summary:
Fisher & Paykel is looking for a results-driven and commercially motivated Product Manager to join their team in Costa Mesa, CA. In this role, you will be accountable for delivering profitable growth across assigned product categories, partnering closely with global and local teams to deliver outstanding product outcomes.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the planning and execution of product line initiatives, including new product introductions, portfolio optimization, and pricing strategies aligned with global imperatives.
• Manage cross-functional stakeholder engagement across Retail, Builder, Marketing, Operations, Customer Experience, and Sales Enablement channels.
• Track and report on product line performance and initiatives to Executive Management and cross-functional partners locally and globally.
• Serve as the category subject matter expert, maintaining a deep understanding of the product portfolio, brand positioning, and pricing strategies.
• Monitor the competitive landscape (retail and builder channels) and proactively identify and respond to market changes.
• Lead portfolio optimization, advocate for high-performing products and phase out low-performing products in line with Fisher & Paykel's strategic and financial goals.
• Collaborate with Marketing to ensure seamless execution of product strategy across all customer touchpoints.
• Partner with Operations to manage order phasing and forecasting for new launches and existing models.
• Provide regular and robust market insights to Global Product Line teams, including opportunities and recommendations for new products or enhancements.
• Ensure all product activities comply with applicable state and federal regulations.
• Project manage new product introductions (NPIs) end-to-end across in-market channels.
• Coordinate with Global Product Managers and in-market teams to maximize the impact of new product launches.
• Oversee NPI market set-up administration and quarterly pricing workstreams.
• Act as the trusted category subject matter expert and a passionate advocate for the Fisher & Paykel brand locally.
• Represent and advocate for the USA market with global cross-functional collaborators.
• Influence and engage senior stakeholders at both local and global levels.
• Take all practicable steps to ensure personal safety and the safety of others in the workplace.
• Comply fully with all Health & Safety legislation, regulations, and company policies.
• Report all hazards and incidents promptly.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years of Product or Category Management experience within consumer goods or CPG industries, with a proven track record of successfully managing cross-functional product launches to market.
• Undergraduate degree, or other relevant tertiary qualification.
• Strong financial acumen and analytical capabilities, with the ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to drive informed commercial decisions.
• Deep understanding of product line levers required to deliver profitable growth and a world-class, end-to-end customer experience.
• Proven project management skills across multiple concurrent projects and stakeholders, keeping plans current and visible.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, working effectively with local and global Marketing, Product Management, Supply Chain, Customer Experience, and Product Development teams.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills — clear, concise, and impactful.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Office Suite, with the ability to quickly adopt new systems and tools.
• Commercial awareness of trade practices, regulations, and legislation at state and federal levels.
