Schedule - Full-time, Midnight-finish, Monday-Friday

Primary role is to transfer product from our Green Bay facility to our Windsor, WI facility.

The Delivery Driver will deliver and unload various company products, including, but not limited to; seafood, beef, poultry and gourmet products. The employee will act as key point of contact with the customer, and in so doing will provide the highest levels of customer service. The incumbent will ensure that high safety standards are always maintained while operating Fortune Fish and Gourmet's vehicle. Moreover, the utmost care will be applied in handling the company's perishable products in accordance with HACCP.

Responsibilities
  • Perform all pre-trip responsibilities to include checking route numbers and account numbers for assigned deliveries.
  • Perform necessary vehicle safety inspections for vehicle.
  • Drive and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route. Ensure vehicle is properly secured during drop-offs.
  • Load and unload products from vehicle using dolly or other appropriate devices safely.
  • Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures confirming receipt of product.
  • Contact management to discuss issues or concerns as they arise throughout the work day.
  • Perform all post-delivery actions, including unloading damaged product, customer returns, and complete any necessary documents.
  • Follow Department of Transportation (DOT) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) regulations during the operation of the truck and handling of product.
  • Develop and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and goodwill by providing professional assistance and by demonstrating an interest in the customer's needs. Report any complaints to Supervisor.
  • Collect money from customers and properly record transactions on company documentation, including invoices. Ensure that payment (cash, checks, etc.) are properly secured.
  • Ensure that safety training is current as per company policy.
  • Supports the Fleet Manager by ensuring that vehicles are maintained according to schedule and records are current and correct.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Education – High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience – One to two years of commercial driving experience a plus Transportation of temperature controlled product experience preferred.
  • Customer Service – Friendly, outgoing and courteous customer service demeanor.
  • Work ethic – A sense of urgency in meeting critical and time sensitive deadlines with the ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Licensing - Must have a valid standard Class D WI license or local state equivalent.
  • Environmental – Available to work long shifts and Saturdays.
  • Language – Basic English speaking proficiency.
  • A combination of the above will also be considered.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged standing, sitting, walking, and driving
  • Regularly be able to lift up to 80 pounds; may occasionally need to lift over 80 pounds
  • Requires constant mental and visual attention, as well as ability to see well in limited light scenarios
  • Repetitive reaching, bending, and twisting
  • Repetitive pushing and pulling
  • Must be able to successfully pass a Medical Examiner's Certification
