Ford's Fish Shack is seeking 1 to 2 full time candidates to fulfill this position. Our ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing, reliable, and eager to grow with the company. This is an exciting time to join the Ford's Fish Shack team, as the company looks ahead to future expansion. Due to our growth, Ford's Fish Shack is seeking Hosts who have a passion for providing the best in service. Hard working and cheerful people are key to our continued success and growth.



Host Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests as they enter the establishment.
  • Present menus, make recommendations, provide the daily specials, and take orders if needed.
  • Answer the phone in a timely manner, using the correct greeting and telephone etiquette.
  • Take to-go orders and enter into the POS system for preparation.
  • Receive and record dining reservations.
  • Ensure the proper setup of dining and service areas.
  • Assist with bussing, cleaning, and re-setting tables to prepare for upcoming reservations.
  • Ensure special requests are passed to managers and/or service staff.
  • Thank guests upon departure with genuine pleasure.
  • Maintain clean, polished, and organized dining tables and work area.
  • Sweep and mop work area.
  • Wipe clean all menus and check books daily.
  • Must be at least 17 years of age.
