Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Commissary Operations Manager or Assistant Production Managers, this position is primarily responsible for preparing various ingredients for food preparation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
  1. Cleans, cuts and slices vegetables for each production recipe
  2. Prepares, chicken, meat and fish items (cooked and raw) for each production recipe
  3. Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of own work area
  4. Works in refrigerated environment during part or all of the day to handle other refrigerated items

OTHER FUNCTIONS :
  1. Performs various other duties in fulfilling assigned functions reflecting the same level of cooking skills and knowledge.

QUALIFICATIONS :
Physical Ability:
  • Able to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis
  • Able to stand or walk up to 8 hours/day on a regular basis

Mental Ability:
  • Able to read and comprehend instructions written in the English language

Desired Attributes:
  • Able to apply "common sense" understanding in carrying out instructions
