Job description

Position Summary:

Aberdeen Machine Tool is a division of Accurpress and has been a part of the Aberdeen community since early 1990’s. We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and organized individual to join our team as an Administrative Assistant / Shipping Coordinator. This dynamic role bridges administrative and inventory functions, requiring excellent communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and familiarity with QuickBooks Online. Experience with shipping and inventory platforms—such as UPS WorldShip, Katana, or Fishbowl—is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

Order & Database Management

  • Interpret and process customer purchase orders accurately.
  • Utilize service databases to manage and fulfill parts orders.
  • Maintain and update inventory records to ensure accuracy.

Shipping & Receiving

  • Pull, pack, and prepare parts for shipment.
  • Ship items using UPS and various freight carriers.
  • Track shipments and maintain detailed shipping documentation.

Administrative Support

  • Answer and direct incoming calls professionally.
  • Perform general clerical duties, including filing and document preparation.

Microsoft Office Tasks

  • Use Excel for data entry and inventory tracking.
  • Create and manage documents in Word.
  • Communicate via Outlook and collaborate using Teams and OneDrive.

Inventory Control

  • Record incoming inventory and reconcile packing slips with purchase orders.
  • Support cyclical inventory counts and audits.
