Senior Business Systems Analyst
About your role:
As a Business Analyst, you will work directly with a leading Financial Services client to define business requirements and support the successful delivery of IT initiatives across the full product development lifecycle. You will serve as a critical link between business stakeholders and technology teams by translating complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements and functional specifications.
In this role, you will engage from early scoping and analysis through implementation and launch, collaborating closely with clients, application development teams, and cross-functional partners. Your work will support predictable delivery, strong stakeholder alignment, and high-quality solutions that meet both business and technical objectives.
What you'll do:
  • Lead business analysis activities across the full project lifecycle (Waterfall), including requirements elicitation, estimation, design, and project implementation
  • Partner directly with clients and end users to define business requirements and user stories that support project objectives
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications, detailed requirements, and test artifacts that can be consumed by solution development teams
  • Support project planning activities, including scoping, task ownership, dependency identification, and communication planning
  • Provide iterative analysis and clarification throughout development to ensure alignment between business intent and technical implementation
  • Prepare and maintain project and analysis documentation, including requirements documents, process flows, Jira records, and other project artifacts
  • Facilitate requirement reviews, stakeholder signoffs, and change discussions to support timely decision-making
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, clients, and third-party partners

Experience you'll need to have:
  • At least 4 years of experience in project/product management.
  • Client-facing experience, including partnering with clients and end users to gather, validate, and prioritize requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Experience leading testing and implementation efforts, managing timelines, ensuring quality, and collaborating cross-functionally to support successful product launches.
  • Experience managing multiple initiatives and communicating complex, technical concepts clearly.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.

Experience that would be great to have:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified
  • Experience in banking, financial services, payments, or related industries

How you'll work:
  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday in Omaha, NE. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experience helps you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
  • This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.
  • This role requires flexibility to support off-hours implementations as needed.

Travel: This role requires occasional domestic travel (up to 10%).
