Job Summary

Responsible for providing instruction to teen parent students on health and parenting topics, facilitating positive student responses to normal development, promoting health and safety, intervening to support current and potential health problems of teen parent students and their children, providing case management services, and actively collaborating with others to build student and family capacity for adaptation, self-management, self‑advocacy, and learning.

Education, Training & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in the field of Nursing (BSN)
  • Minimum of two years’ clinical experience
Certificates, Licenses & Registrations
  • Permanent Florida Teaching Certificate and subject specific certification in K‑12 Health. This can be accomplished by completing the Professional Development Certification Program (PDCP) offered by the District or by completing college courses specific to this program. Candidates who do not have the required Florida Department of Education certification will be required to agree to and sign a Condition to Earn statement requiring a permanent Florida Teaching Certificate and subject specific certification in K‑12 Health to be obtained within the first year of employment.
  • Valid and current Registered Nurse licensed by Florida Department of Health, Division of Quality Medical Assurance
  • Valid and current certification of American Red Cross First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
