Armed Security Officer - Patrol Rover Rail Transit

As an Armed Security Officer - Patrol Rover Rail Transit in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to situations as needed, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This armed role requires an Armed Guard Card/License and offers the opportunity to contribute through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and a people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at public transportation locations.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, offices, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points, observe public areas for unusual conditions or behavior, and report security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
  • Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Baton certification is highly preferred - if selected, you will be required to obtain one before orientation.
  • Handcuffing and OC Spray certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Participate in site-specific security training process - failure to pass or complete required training may result in reassignment or removal.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
