We are seeking a Security Officer (Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6pm - 6am)for our Tissue Facilitylocated in Anderson SC This position will be responsible to improve security and safety of the site by enforce access control procedures, contact emergency services when needed, monitor control systems in buildings and closed-circuit surveillance, assist with sorting mail in addition to creating reports, emailing office documents and operating multi-line phone systems.
Primary responsibilities include:
• Always maintain a high level of professionalism
• Must be assertive and firm, and pleasant always
• Monitor and maintain the visitor management system to include processing vendors/visitors/contractors who arrive on site
• Answering site intercoms and verify entry approval
• Ensure contractors and visitors have prior approval and safety training prior to allowing access
• Provide appropriate parking instructions to all visitors
• Monitor cameras, intercoms, and gates via access control system
• Conduct daily audits
• Answer facility main phone line: direct calls and respond to questions as appropriate
• Conduct security and safety patrols if required
• Report suspicious activity to the appropriate people
• Contact appropriate plant personnel for direction in urgent situations
• Perform other tasks and assignments as directed by Security team members
• Verifying the safety training completion in the visitor request process and assisting with safety training completion by emailing information as needed
• Assisting with emergencies (traffic control, securing site in lockdown, crowd control, etc.)
• Responding to radio emergency alarms
• Updating Front Lobby paperwork to SharePoint
• Creation of badge for new hires/contractors/vendors
• Employment verification, driver direction, application follow up phone call transfer
• Entering cardholder information into Genetec
• Completing daily badge forms and associated reports to HR
• Completing safety audits as required
• Monitoring cameras
• Prepping for and managing outages
• Scheduling company truck
• Communicating weekend information to weekend teams
• Access grants as authorized
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
• High regard for professionalism and confidentiality
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Standard knowledge of computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Law enforcement experience preferred.
Must be able to work:
• In wet, hot and cold environments inside and outside of the facility
• Wear PPE
• Under pressure of deadlines and manage moderate levels of stress
• Overtime as requested by Security Leadership
Ability to:
• Lift up to 25 pounds
• Walk long distances
• Climb steps
• Bend, stoop, stretch
• Stand for long periods of time
Schedule:
• 12 Hour shift on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights
• 4-hour flex time to be utilized based on the needs of the Security Team during the week
