Position Summary:

The Network Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, monitoring, and support of the bank's enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient connectivity across branches, operations centers, ATMs, and cloud-connected environments. This role supports the performance and availability of critical banking systems through network administration, troubleshooting, system maintenance, vendor coordination, and implementation of approved infrastructure initiatives.

The Network Administrator also supports the bank's cybersecurity, compliance, and operational resilience programs by maintaining network security controls, assisting with vulnerability remediation and incident response activities, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal standards. The position provides hands-on support for network hardware, telecommunications equipment, structured cabling, and branch infrastructure while maintaining accurate documentation and contributing to technology initiatives that support the bank's operational goals.

What will you do:AccountabilitiesOperational Support and Process Execution

Provide consistent day-to-day operational support for network infrastructure while ensuring adherence to established standards, procedures, and security controls.

  • Maintain network documentation, procedures, inventory records, and operational tracking systems.
  • Perform physical troubleshooting and replacement of network equipment and cabling to restore service and maintain uptime.
  • Assist with network performance tuning, capacity monitoring, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
  • Monitor network performance, alerts, and logs to ensure uptime and service reliability.
  • Provide first and second-level troubleshooting for network connectivity, VPN, wireless, and branch connectivity issues.
  • Coordinate with vendors, carriers, managed service providers, and telecommunications partners for service requests and escalations.
  • Assist with audit, compliance, risk management, and reporting activities by maintaining accurate operational records and evidence.
  • Support change management processes by implementing approved network changes and updates.
Network Administration

Administer, maintain, and support the Bank's enterprise network infrastructure to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable network services while supporting infrastructure enhancement, lifecycle management, and technology initiatives.

  • Administer and support LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, VPN, and branch network connectivity environments.
  • Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure.
  • Support network hardware, software, firmware updates, and lifecycle management.
  • Support implementation of infrastructure projects led by senior engineering staff.
  • Maintain network diagrams, configuration records, and technical documentation.
  • Support connectivity and troubleshooting for branch infrastructure systems, including ATMs and other network-connected banking devices, in coordination with vendors and internal teams.
  • Install, terminate, and maintain structured cabling infrastructure, including Ethernet and fiber connections, patch panels, switches, and network racks across branch and core environments.
Security, Compliance, and Operational Resilience

Responsible for maintaining secure and resilient operations through implementation of cybersecurity controls, regulatory compliance standards, disaster recovery preparedness, and proactive operational monitoring.

  • Support implementation of network security controls, segmentation standards, and access policies.
  • Assist with vulnerability remediation, patching, and firmware updates for network infrastructure.
  • Monitor security alerts and elevate incidents according to defined procedures.
  • Support disaster recovery, business continuity testing, and incident response activities.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory expectations, internal controls, and security standards relevant to financial institutions.
  • Maintain system availability by proactively identifying and escalating risks to senior engineering staff.
Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Two or more years of experience in network administration, IT support, or infrastructure operations preferred.
  • Experience supporting enterprise network environments in multi-site organizations preferred.
  • Familiarity with routers, switches, firewalls, wireless systems, VPNs, and basic network monitoring tools.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and basic routing/switching concepts.
  • Exposure to vendor coordination and telecommunications support preferred.
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent preferred.
  • Preferred experience supporting audio/video conferencing equipment and VoIP platforms, such as Zoom Phone.
