Job description

Line Cook

We're looking for a Line Cook who treats the kitchen as a discipline, not just a job. This role demands speed, precision, and consistency under pressure — someone who takes pride in every plate that leaves the pass, no exceptions.

Responsibilities

  • Execute all stations to spec, maintaining consistency in taste, portion, and presentation on every ticket
  • Work efficiently during high-volume service without sacrificing quality or safety standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and code-compliant station at all times
  • Prep ingredients ahead of service to ensure the line is fully stocked and ready
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with fellow cooks, expo, and front-of-house staff
  • Monitor food quality and freshness, discarding anything that doesn't meet standard
  • Follow all recipes and plating guides precisely, while flagging opportunities for improvement
  • Uphold rigorous food safety and sanitation practices in accordance with health codes

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years of line cook experience in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Proven ability to work multiple stations and adapt quickly under pressure
  • Strong knife skills and working knowledge of classic culinary techniques
  • Food Handler's Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
