School Overview
Our Lady of Bethlehem School and Childcare (OLB) is a private, Catholic school and childcare whose mission is to lead all children to Jesus through faith, learning, family, and community. Now in our 70th year, OLB is the only school in the Diocese of Columbus serving students infant through kindergarten year-round, including a summer program serving students through 6th grade. OLB is conveniently located off of Route 315 near Henderson Rd., and has a beautiful campus of more than four acres.
Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Toddler Teacher to join our dedicated and mission driven team. In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for toddlers to explore, learn, and grow in all areas of development. Your enthusiasm for early childhood education will inspire young learners and support their developmental milestones through structured activities and attentive caregiving in our faith-based setting.
Duties
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development for toddlers
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence
  • Monitor and ensure the safety of all children during indoor and outdoor activities
  • Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and milestones
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, attendance, and developmental observations
  • Support children with routines such as diapering, feeding, napping, and hygiene practices
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive learning experience that aligns with curriculum goals and developmental outcomes

Requirements
  • 2-4 solid years of prior experience working with young children in a daycare or preschool setting, specifically ages 2-3
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific needs of older toddlers and young preschoolers
  • Certification in first aid, CPR, and child abuse (or willingness to obtain immediately upon hire, prior to start date)
  • Experience with classroom management techniques suitable for early learners
  • Ability to work effectively with children with diverse backgrounds and needs, including those requiring special education or behavioral support
  • Strong communication skills to engage with parents, staff, and children positively
  • Passion for nurturing children's growth through caregiving, teaching, and behavior management strategies
  • Ability to work within the confines of licensing regulations and OLB policies and procedures
  • Strong work ethic, initiative, ability to work independently and autonomously while still accepting guidance, performance improvement suggestions, etc.
  • Must have experience and ability to work with basic technology hardware and software
