Ventek Solutions is a leading manufacturer of engineered shape molded foam components, protective packaging, and multi-material assembly solutions. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Third Shift Supervisor to join our team and further strengthen our position in the market.
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership in safety, quality, productivity, cost control, and employee engagement in a high-performance manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for supervising and developing production employees at the Shelbyville, KY facility.
The shift times/days for this role are Monday mornings starting at 5:30am through Friday afternoon 3:00pm. This role will be based at Shelbyville, KY. No relocation assistance will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety amp; Compliance
• Champion a comprehensive safety program to prevent injuries and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Lead start-up, safety meetings, investigations, and corrective actions for the shift.
• Serve as the safety leader and role model for all shift personnel.
People Leadership
• Hire, train, coach, and develop shift employees.
• Build positive employee relations and foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and respect.
• Administer performance feedback, coaching, and discipline in alignment with company policies.
• Schedule employees to cover staffing needs, including vacations, absences, and overtime.
Operations amp; Performance
• Lead daily production activities to meet safety, quality, productivity, and cost targets.
• Supervise assigned employees, including training, development, and performance evaluation.
• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborating with plant leadership to resolve operational issues and improve shift performance.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in production supervision within a manufacturing environment leading or supervising a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
• Fluency (written and verbal) in Spanish is strongly preferred.
Preferred Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field. Equivalent experience will be considered for the right candidate.
• Experience implementing cost reduction and performance programs.
• Lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience
