POSITION SUMMARY

We are currently seeking an Aviation Parts Specialist to process incoming and outgoing products, conduct cycle counts and fulfill work orders with requested material. This is a full-time, non-exempt position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process incoming deliveries
  • Receive completed jobs from Production
  • Maintain appropriate levels of stock in point-of-use bins
  • Pick parts and deliver work orders from storeroom inventory on a timely basis
  • Perform cycle counts and audits as scheduled
  • Develop and lead continuous improvement projects.
  • Periodic monitoring and evaluation of stock levels
  • Research and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Ship completed orders
  • Keep the storeroom, shipment staging, and dock areas clean and orderly at all times
  • Assist the production staff, administration, engineering personnel, and members of all other departments with their inventory and shipment needs.
  • Very occasional driving to pick up parts
  • Support other production work centers as required.
  • Follow written procedures and supporting documents such as flowcharts, packing diagrams, kanban signals
  • Work in compliance with OSHA and MSDS safety policies.
  • Adhere to company practices regarding safety and control of electrostatic discharge (ESD).
  • Perform other duties assigned.
  • Prepare and reviews bills of lading and purchase orders
  • Obtain shipping quotes
  • Palletize equipment to ship via 3rd party shippers
  • Performs inventory stock checks and other stockroom duties
  • Performs shipping and receiving related duties
  • Loading and unloading trucks as needed


Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Previous shipping and receiving experience required
  • Experience in aircraft industry is preferred
  • Lear60 and Veryon Software preferred (highly desired).
  • High level of attention to details, numbers, and organization
  • Excellent math and analytical skills
  • Desired candidate will be systematic, punctual, and desire continuous improvement
  • Able to work within the aircraft maintenance schedules required to complete orders
  • Solid computer skills with Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read and follow documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
