The Cook 4 is an experienced culinary professional with in-depth knowledge of kitchen operations and the ability to produce a consistent, high-quality product in a timely manner. This position supports daily food production, quality and consistency, station readiness, sanitation standards, and overall kitchen efficiency. The Cook 4 should be comfortable working across multiple stations and may provide direction to other culinary colleagues in the absence of a supervisor.
This role is ideal for a skilled cook who takes pride in execution, organization, food quality, and delivering exceptional hospitality in a fast-paced hotel environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, cook, and present menu items according to recipes, production standards, plating guides, and quality expectations.
  • Set up assigned station with required mise en place, tools, equipment, and supplies before service.
  • Monitor food production, quality, consistency, and presentation throughout the shift.
  • Work across multiple kitchen stations as business needs require.
  • Review prep lists, production schedules, pars, and anticipated business levels with culinary leadership.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, portion sizes, presentation standards, and timing.
  • Follow proper food handling, storage, labeling, rotation, and sanitation procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of work areas, equipment, reach-ins, walk-ins, shelves, cutting boards, and prep tables.
  • Communicate shortages, 86'd items, special needs, or service concerns to culinary leadership and appropriate F&B colleagues.
  • Minimize waste and support food cost controls through proper production, storage, and portioning.
  • Assist with inventories, banquet plating, special functions, and other kitchen duties as assigned.
  • Support training and development of culinary colleagues when needed.
  • Provide direction to other colleagues in the absence of a supervisor or hourly Sous Chef, as appropriate.
  • Comply with hotel, departmental, safety, sanitation, and health department standards at all times.
