Job description

Position Name: Physical Therapist
Available Shifts:
Days (Rotating Weekends): shift Details will be explained during interview process
Facility is a 515-bed facility. We are proud to be the area's leading health care facility in quality outcomes performance. We are the area's first Accredited Chest Pain Center and Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. Our hospital is the first in the state of Florida to have earned Atrial Fibrillation with Electrophysiology Services Accreditation. We have an Advanced Primary Stroke Center. We provide a specialized Emergency Department tailored to the needs of seniors and children. We have a Kids ER dedicated to our youngest patients. We are the areas only comprehensive CARF-accredited physical rehabilitation hospital. Our facility has a behavioral health facility. We offer services including cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, oncology, and orthopedics. Other services that we offer include robotic-assisted surgery, critical care, and neurology/neurosurgery. We also offer urology, gastroenterology, obstetrics, and pulmonary and rehabilitative medicine.
Job Summary and Qualifications
The Physical Therapist (PT) provides high-quality, patient-centered care by managing the complete process of therapeutic care of an assigned group of patients in coordination with the physician and the patient care team. The Physical Therapist completes patient assessments and participates in developing and implementing individualized care plans focusing on goal achievement, patient engagement, and positive patient experience. The Physical Therapist provides or directs a majority of the patients physical therapy to support patients throughout the continuum of care.
What you will do in this role:
  • You will provide evaluations and treatment interventions within the scope of practice established by law and professional code of ethics.
  • You will assess and evaluate therapeutic/rehabilitative/functional status and participate in the development of the total plan of care.
  • You will provide purposeful and skilled therapeutic care at patients home, using procedures and techniques to produce a change in condition/function consistent with the physicians plan of care.
  • You will instruct patient/family/caregiver in the use of therapies, exercises, therapeutic appliances, and/or prosthetic devices to be used outside of therapy sessions.
  • You will prioritize caseload, determine daily staffing needs and coordinate assignments/handoffs.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Open to New Grads (Experienced is not required)
  • Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy REQUIRED
  • State Licensed Physical Therapist
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
