What is a day in the life of a Sr. Financial Analyst?
  • Support planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis for AI usage, compute, storage, and software costs
  • Perform investment analysis and evaluate commercial decisions and strategic initiatives
  • Prepare high-quality analyses, recommendations, and Exec and Board-facing presentations
  • Support business partners across compute infrastructure, FP&A, and strategic finance.
What will I need to thrive in this role?
  • 3-5 years in a finance operating role at a high-growth technology company
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other relevant fields
  • Background in infrastructure, data centers, compute, cloud, semiconductors, or a related industry strongly preferred
  • Exceptional analytical, financial modeling, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and succeed in unfamiliar operating environments
  • Comfort independently structuring ambiguous problems and working through incomplete information

What does success look like in the first 30, 60, 90 days? 30 Days: Learning & Discovery
  • Conduct a deep dive into existing compute and AI infrastructure cost drivers, data sources, and current forecasting methodologies.
  • Establish baseline relationships with key business partners across engineering and compute operations to understand current pain points and reporting needs.
60 Days: Analysis & Initial Ownership
  • Take full ownership of the monthly reporting cycle for compute costs, proactively identifying variances and streamlining data collection.
  • Execute a focused analysis of a specific AI/storage cost stream to identify potential efficiency or optimization opportunities.
90 Days: Strategy & Execution
  • Propose and initiate a strategic optimization project based on findings from initial analysis, presenting a data-backed recommendation to stakeholders.
  • Begin leading ad-hoc investment analyses for strategic initiatives, demonstrating the ability to structure ambiguous problems and communicate results to leadership.

You will also be mentored by the Head of FP&A and meet with them on a regular basis to discuss your performance. This team is data driven and results oriented.
