Responsibilities

Howyou’llmake an impactinthis role 

  • Monitors and operates critical plant systems (e.g., boilers, refrigeration, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and medical gas systems), ensuring safe and efficient performance.  
  • Inspects equipment, adjusts controls, reads gauges, and identifies and resolves or reports malfunctions.  
  • Performs water testing and chemical management, and completes minor and emergency repairs using appropriate tools and equipment.  
  • Prioritizes and completes work orders, interprets schematics and specifications, and prepares necessary materials and supplies.  
  • Maintains accurate records, equipment documentation, and work histories while responding promptly to emergencies.  
  • Supports safe, efficient operations by supervising assigned staff, maintaining a clean work area, and adhering to safety, compliance, and cost-control standards. 

Qualifications

What minimum requirements you’ll need 

Education: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent 

License: 

  • City of Detroit First Class Refrigeration Operator license   

Work Expereience: 

  • Three to five years
