Experienced HVAC Service Technician First Call Heating & Cooling – Oregon City, OR

Pay: $30–$40 per hour DOE, plus SPIFF opportunities
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Some evenings, weekends, and rotating on-call shifts may be required.

First Call Heating & Cooling is looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex system issues, delivering excellent customer service, and helping customers make informed decisions about their home comfort systems.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on residential heating and cooling systems

  • Service and maintain gas and oil furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductless systems

  • Troubleshoot difficult or unusual HVAC system issues

  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers

  • Educate customers on preventative maintenance, repair options, and system accessories

  • Complete service documentation accurately and thoroughly

  • Collect payment on C.O.D. service calls as needed

  • Help resolve customer concerns and ensure a high level of satisfaction

  • Participate in assigned on-call rotation for emergency service

  • Support and mentor junior technicians when needed

  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude

  • Follow company procedures, safety standards, and supervisor direction

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable working from extension and step ladders
  • Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, and confined areas
  • Brazing certification required
  • NATE certification required within 2 years of employment
  • Low voltage license preferred or willingness to obtain within 2 years
