Job description

We are seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for an ongoing OB/GYN locum opportunity in New Jersey. This hospital-based position offers flexible block scheduling, full-time hours, and a collaborative Labor & Delivery environment.

Assignment Details

  • Start: As soon as credentialed
  • Ongoing coverage through December 2026
  • Full-time coverage

Schedule

  • 40 hours per week
  • 12 or 24-hour shifts
  • Minimum of three 12-hour shifts per week
  • 24/7 coverage model
  • Block scheduling available
  • No call

Practice Setting

  • Hospital-based OB/GYN service
  • Labor & Delivery
  • Epic EMR

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Labor & Delivery coverage
  • Postpartum care
  • OB/GYN Emergency Department consults
  • Assist with GYN surgical procedures
  • First assist for scheduled GYN surgeries and Labor & Delivery cases as needed
  • Work collaboratively with the OB attending physician and Certified Nurse Midwife

Patient Volume

  • Variable based on Labor & Delivery census

Requirements

  • Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Active New Jersey license
  • First Assist experience required
  • NP candidates must hold RNFA (First Assist) certification
